July 01 Anti-China Rally disrupted by a pro-CCP Chinese in Brisbane
Brisbane city is a home to
numerous nationalities. Its home to Hongkongers, Tibetans, Vietnamese, Ugyurs,
Indians, Chinese et al. If a virus in Wuhan city from China can spread around
the world, a call for freedom from China could well spread around the world.
One such gathering rally was
organised by Hongkongers under the banner of Hongkong International Alliance Brisbane, with speakers and attendees from Australia, East
Turkestan, Tibet and Vietnam. The evening in the city was usual, there were those who were
part of the rally clamouring for support, speakers speaking on how China is responsible
for the deaths of millions of minorities and other nationalities. The rally which began at around 7 pm
on the evening of July 1 was going normal in the main CBD until a well-dressed
Chinese youth showed up out of blue to snatch the mike from the young Hongkong
speaker. The Chinese man who said while raising his hand toward the mike, “it’s
a freedom of speech right!” snatching the mike. The Chinese youth was also
learned to have photographed and shot the participants and speakers at the
rally before launching to snatch mike and muscling with local police. The police immediately took steps
isolating him from the rally. However, due to his behaviour and resistance, the police had to
detain him. Coincidentally, the local Chinese Consulate in the city is just adjacent to the local police beat.
It was later learned through 'The Australian' that the detainee who resides in East Brisbane will be appearing
court in September. A Hongkong activist said they don’t want their face to be
in the picture while this man managed to do so before interrupting the rally. Several Hongkongers and Tibetans were seen wearing mask to avoid being identified by Chinese authorities. Speakers in the rally include Drew Pavlau, Vincent Do, Tenzin Phuntsok Doring, Jack Chung and Christian and speaker from East Turkestan. The speakers represented Australia, Vietnam, Hongkong, Tibet and East Turkestan.
They hope that the police would ensure the
safety of Hongkongers, Tibetans, Vietnamese and Australians who organised the rally and are not put at risk
due the filming and shooting by the Chinese detainee. All the pictorial and videos must be withheld as these could go into Chinese authorities in
Brisbane and to China as well engendering their and their families' life.
Last year, Hongkong rally was disrupted by pro-CCP Chinese students in the University of Queensland which hit the global headlines as the rally organisers were physically assaulted in the campus in the milieu.
